The Issues We’re Fighting For

Squire Servance on the issues: lowering costs and expanding opportunity for working families through affordable healthcare, housing, good-paying jobs, education, clean energy and innovation-driven economic growth, practical immigration reform, and a principled foreign policy that protects American interests, upholds human rights, and ensures accountability for how taxpayer dollars are spent.

Lowering Costs and Expanding Opportunity

Too many families across New Jersey are working harder than ever and still struggling to afford housing, groceries, childcare, healthcare, and everyday necessities. I believe we need an economy that lowers costs and expands opportunity for working and middle-class families. That means increasing affordable housing, lowering healthcare and prescription drug costs, supporting good-paying jobs, protecting workers’ rights, strengthening small businesses, and expanding workforce training. It also means investing in industries that will drive long-term economic growth, including life sciences, clean energy, and advanced manufacturing. Economic growth should not just benefit those at the top. It should create real financial stability, upward mobility, and opportunity for everyone.

Building Opportunity Through Education, Training and Entrepreneurship

Every child, regardless of ZIP code, deserves access to high-quality early childhood education, well-resourced public schools, and affordable pathways to higher education and skills training. I support fully funding public education, expanding access to universal pre-K, strengthening special education services, and investing in career and technical education that aligns with the jobs of the future.

Lowering Healthcare Costs. Expanding Care.

Access to affordable, high-quality healthcare is essential to individual well-being and economic security. I support moving toward a universal healthcare system that ensures every American has access to affordable, high-quality care. That includes lowering prescription drug costs, protecting coverage for pre-existing conditions, expanding preventive and community-based care, and investing in mental health, maternal health, and chronic disease management. Our healthcare system should focus on keeping people healthy, not just treating illness after it occurs, while ensuring care is accessible regardless of income, race, or geography.

Investing in Housing, Safety and Connected Communities

Strong, connected communities are the foundation of health, safety, and opportunity. I believe in policies that strengthen social cohesion, support families, and ensure that everyone feels valued and protected. This includes investing in affordable housing, safe transportation, food security, and community-based organizations that serve as trusted anchors in people’s lives. We must also address systemic inequities and barriers that undermine trust and opportunity, while promoting civic engagement and inclusive leadership.

Protecting Our Environment for Healthy Communities

Clean air, safe drinking water, resilient infrastructure, and access to green spaces are not luxuries, they are necessities. I support strong environmental protections, investments in climate resilience, and a transition to clean energy that creates jobs while protecting frontline and overburdened communities. Environmental justice must be central to our policy decisions, ensuring that no community bears a disproportionate share of pollution or climate risk.

Foreign Policy & National Security

America’s leadership in the world should reflect both our values and our interests. I believe in a foreign policy grounded in diplomacy, strategic strength, human rights, and constitutional accountability. Military force should always be a last resort, and Congress must play a stronger role in overseeing decisions related to war and international engagement. I support strong alliances and America remaining a global leader, but I do not believe the United States should write blank checks to any country. When there are serious concerns about violations of international law or the protection of civilian lives, any support we provide should be conditioned and subject to meaningful accountability. Our foreign policy should be principled, strategic, and focused on protecting American security, strengthening our economy, and ensuring taxpayer dollars are spent responsibly and in alignment with our values.

A Fair, Secure, and Humane Immigration Reform Agenda

America is a nation shaped by immigrants, built through generations of hard work and sacrifice, and marked by both extraordinary opportunity and difficult chapters in our history. First, we must fix and modernize our legal immigration system by reducing backlogs, improving efficiency, strengthening border security, and supporting the families, workers, and businesses that rely on legal immigration. Second, I support comprehensive immigration reform that includes an earned pathway to citizenship for law-abiding undocumented immigrants and protections for Dreamers. Third, we must reform immigration enforcement to focus on violent criminals, human trafficking, fentanyl smuggling, and genuine public safety threats, not indiscriminate raids that separate families and undermine trust in communities. ICE should be drastically reformed to separate civil immigration enforcement from criminal enforcement activities, while operating with accountability, professionalism, and respect for constitutional rights and due process. Our immigration system should reflect both the rule of law and the values of compassion, opportunity, and accountability that define America.
