Faith Leaders and Community Members Endorse Squire Servance for U.S. Congress

PENNINGTON, NJ – (5/27/26) – A growing coalition of faith leaders and community members from across New Jersey’s 12th Congressional District is announcing their support for Squire Servance for Congress, citing his message of service, compassion, integrity, and practical leadership.

Clergy, ministers and congregational leaders representing churches and faith communities across Trenton, Franklin Township, and Princeton are announcing their support for Servance, describing him as a candidate whose life and work already reflect the values many voters are seeking in public office.

In a joint statement, the faith leaders wrote:

“As faith leaders rooted in service, and love of neighbor, we believe leadership should be grounded in humility, compassion, honesty, and action. After hearing from the candidates and witnessing the conversations taking place across this district, we are united in our belief that Squire Servance is the leader best prepared to serve the people of New Jersey’s 12th Congressional District.”

“Squire is not simply speaking about faith. He is living it. He has worked to advance health equity, helped relaunch ministries focused on maternal and infant health, created jobs and opportunities in our communities, and consistently shown up for people across this district with humility and purpose.”

“At a time when so many people are exhausted by division and political theater, Squire brings something different: substance, compassion, intelligence, and a genuine commitment to people over politics.”

The supporters include:

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP

  • Reverend Danté R. Quick, Ph.D., First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens

TRENTON

  • Overseer Michael Howard, Greater Is He Ministries

  • Apostle A.L. Patterson, II, Greater Harvest Church Ministries Worldwide

PRINCETON

  • Pastor Maureen Gerald, First Baptist Church of Princeton

NEW YORK CITY

  • Rev. Dr. Cornell Edmonds (resident of Princeton Junction), Church of the Covenant

Over the final week of the campaign, supporters plan to organize voter outreach efforts through community conversations, phone banking, rides to the polls, house gatherings, and faith-centered civic engagement efforts throughout NJ-12.

STATEMENT FROM SQUIRE SERVANCE

“My parents taught me that faith without works is dead. That means standing up for working families struggling with rising costs, advocating for healthcare access, respecting the dignity of every person, and remembering that public service should ultimately be about helping people.”

“I’m deeply grateful for the support of these faith leaders and congregations. This campaign is building a coalition rooted in hope, community, and the belief that we can create healthier and more affordable communities together.”
